Lake Nakuru is a prominent Rift Valley lake located at an altitude of 1,754 meters above sea level. The lake is situated south of Nakuru in the beautiful rift valley of Kenya and is preserved by the Lake Nakuru National Park. The lake was once home to an abundance of algae that used to attract a considerable number of flamingos along the shoreline, a spectacle that earned international recognition and praise.
